How fast should a roofer respond after a San Antonio hailstorm?
Expect an inspection within days, not hours, after a metro-wide storm; every roofer’s book fills at once. Be wary of anyone door-knocking the same afternoon from out of town: the established local companies on this list are busiest precisely because they are local.
Should I call my insurer or a roofer first after hail?
A documented inspection first is the common-sense order: photos, a written scope and a repair estimate let you run the deductible arithmetic before a claim enters your history. Our hail claim calculator shows that arithmetic.
Can a roofer handle my insurance claim for me in Texas?
No. Texas Insurance Code chapter 707 bars contractors from negotiating claims, and it makes a deductible the homeowner’s own bill: any offer to make it disappear is the law being broken in front of you. A roofer’s legitimate role is the inspection, the written scope and the work itself.
When is hail season in San Antonio?
March through June is the heart of it. The April 12, 2016 storm remains the costliest hail event in Texas history.
